6+ m/s thermals in Piedrahita, Spain

Another exciting day altough slow to get going. Easy midday flight in light wind.

At 3pm we went up again, and launched from the lower launch due to wind. Soon above takeoff, then a booming 6+ m/s thermal up to 2400m inversion. Out into the valley because of the strong north component, but the strong inversion and bumpy conditions stopped anyone from going over the pass and we landed at the long bar.

Up the hill again at 7:30 pm for an effortless hour soaring all the way to the zigzag and back to Piedrahita (10km return), without dropping more than 100m in height, and flying for 15 minutes at one point without touching the controls! Arrived over the town at launch height and lazily flew down to land just before sunset at 9.15pm.
